He needs more time, and it would help, I think, to stay close. That is all I have, for the moment.
[Picking up his drink now, to take another sip. He can't stop smiling.]
We were able to talk for a bit.
[It wasn't enough, but well. There is always next time.]

No. Let it stay with you.
[Then, with a teasing look:]
He is curious about you, Brigade, and raring to travel again. He's always been a wanderer at heart.

Yes, I figured that I should especially since Hikaru had entrusted you with the shield. We can fetch it when we head back down later.
Make sure that you are in physical contact with him, and reach out to him with your mind.
[Tilts head at the shield.]
He appears to be resting for the moment, though.

[Heh. The concern is touching, but--]
I'm pretty sure that he can take it.
I'm pretty sure that he can take it.
[Chuckling, lifting his glass as well.]
And to us.
[Now, to down that like a proper Japanese-Filipino man would!]
And to us.

[ Josh lights up; inhales deep, exhales slowly. ]
Don't know where to start.
[ But he tries. ]
I miss them something fierce, Brig. [ He glances over. ] Four of them I thought of as my brothers from other mothers.
[ He looks down at his hands, counts their names off. ] I'd known Phil since grade school. His mom was as much my mom after... [ trailing off a little at that. ] Anyway. Me and that guy did the whole ringer of middle and high school, and when I got into college, we made a pact to make the team together.
That's where we met Jules and Angel. And then somewhere there, we picked up Greg. He was our water boy. But I trained him myself, told Coach Matt and Pa that if they wanted a Quarterback that they could trust as much as they trusted me, they should give a look in his direction.

[Tohru had come to pick him up just that morning, from Cisco's house. He had already been ready to go nearly an hour before his father came - the former Assassin of the Searing Wind had been courteous enough to inform him.
Suffice to say, he had crashed and crashed hard as soon as he found himself back in the home that he and Alistair Mordechai still shared. It's about 2 PM, now, and he's up again, feeling significantly better --
-- physically, anyway. Emotions are a whole new thing to consider altogether.
Either way, he's sitting by the pool behind the house, dressed down in a hakama, smoking from one of his favorite pipes. No one else is home, but the doors are open, as always, for the Zashiki-Warashi operatives who have taken it upon themselves to maintain the place. They don't bother him, though. They respect the Blade King's space.
Good. He has a lot to think about.]

[The text makes him lift an eyebrow, but only for a moment. Word travels fast, especially among the oni-tsukai of Zangyaku. That included, for better or for worse, their operatives from other conspiracies.]
[It hasn't been too long since he's seen Brigade, but it feels like plenty for a man like himself. The Promethean's movements have surprised him, as of late. It seemed as though Brigade had that unfortunate talent of being too damned honest at precisely the right (or wrong) time.]

Better now, actually, but still under strict orders to rest. Hi. :)

Nope! This is his house in Kibo. Where they drank post-Seigi was his room at Falner!

[Considering, considering...]
SENT: 3:15 PM
Sure, why not? Just come to the house and let yourself in. I'm down by the pool.

[Well, that's a little amusing. Not too surprising, though: he stays in Falner more than he ought to, really.]
SENT: 3:18 PM
There are a lot of convenience stores and other little places along Marcos Highway, before you hit the roads heading up to Kibo. You really don't have to bring anything, though. :)
[Lifting an eyebrow at your entrance, then smiling as he's straightening up just a little.
Yeah, he's still tired, still pale.]
That took you a while.
Yeah, he's still tired, still pale.]
That took you a while.
Of course. And I'll live.
[Have a crooked smile in your direction, Brig, as he's going for one of those beers.]
You're going to have to work on that Tagalog, you know.
